In our master bath we have two vanity cabinets. One for the "ugly" necessities such as allergy pills, aspirin, spare contacts and deodorant and then there is one I use just for my pretties.
I do have plenty of functional items inside that I use everyday such as my favorite Philosophy products and the multiple brands of anti wrinkle cream. But in addition to these, I add small landscape paintings, miniature trophy cups, sterling brushes and collected bits of vintage jewelry.
I love my tiny sterling silver religious statue and just behind it is a beautiful empty bottle of perfume I just couldn't throw away.
It's sort of a hodge podge of little things. Items that would normally be lost if displayed anywhere else but inside the cabinet they are able to be showcased and enjoyed.
Do any of you have a pretty vanity cabinet? If so, I sure would love to take a peek into yours. Please tell me this is not completely crazy. I have a feeling I'm not alone here. I know in the very least you "get" my obsession with making the ordinary extraordinary.
