Another Gorgeous Shop

Tiaras1 Apparently I've single handedly managed to turn this into a shopping blog. It appears as though all I've done for weeks on end is shop, shop, shop. Trust me, it's not all I do. I've been working. Promise. And I do have plans to show you some things I've been doing that don't involve retail therapy. But for now, here's another incredible place to give away your hard earned dollars. It's called Vignettes located in the Ocean Beach District of San Diego.

Tiaras2 The selection of gorgeous antiques are amazing. Just look at this tiara display case!

Sdvig1 The beautiful displays are everywhere you turn. Seashells are scattered among the velvet chairs, chippy tables and French inspired antiques.

Sdvig2

Sdvig3

Sdvig6 I wanted to bring this home in a bad way to put in my office for lounging. Because someday I'm going to do that...lounge...in my office. Sounds so professional doesn't it? Or maybe this would entice visitors to come and join me in my work lounging?

Sdvig7 Of course, I came to my senses when I remembered that this would require knocking out a wall and that sounded a lot like work which would totally defeat the purpose of buying it. Moving on....

Sdvig4 This is my friend Joy's space. It's such a wonderful spot filled with her handmade treasures, stationery, seashells and vintage goods. She called this her Mermaid Grotto, so cute!

Sdvig5 Her petite French themed flags would be perfect on a birthday cake or cupcakes.

Sdvig8 They have dozens upon dozens of beautiful mirrors to choose from. My shopping pal Jolee Jane bought one to take home along with a rhinestone clock and some other fantastic treasures.

Sdvig9 I bought an antique humidor, a crown jewelry box, lots of rhinestone buttons, stationery, religious medallions and a dresser with a mirror top. Ummmm, yeah. I really should be working right now. Do you want to see all the loot I've been lugging home lately? I should stop shopping and show you some of my finds. It would be much more cost effective.

Sdvig10 If you want to go see all this beauty for yourself they are located at: 4828 Newport Avenue, San Diego and their number is 619-222-9244. Tell them Heather sent you but don't blame me for what happens to your wallet! Smiles, H

My head just exploded! Such beautiful stuff!

Heather, I have been admiring your blog and photos for quite some time and was so excited to see your photos from Round Top. You met and phtographed my dear friend Linda Marcov from Willow Nest in Texas. I had a long phone conversation with her today and your name came up (such a small world) She really enjoyed talking with you and can't say enough great things about the show and the lovely people she met. I am doing the Farm Chicks sale as well and can't wait to meet you in person.

What a beautiful, fun shop...thank you for sharing..

c

So very lovely is all that you share.
Love Jeanne

Hi Heather,

I'm trying real hard to see you lounging in my mind. Still trying.... You busy bee. I enjoy hopping by to say hello, it's so nice on a Sunday morning instead of reading the newspaper. Your pictures are as always, a pleasure to look at too.

Love my goodies I purchased. I'm told to keep my money in my pocket but I'm not always good to obey. Hehehe. You won't tell.

Hugs dear friend,
Karla

Looks like my kind of shop!! I love this kind of posts. Happy Sunday, Theresa

Hi Heather, Thanks for a trip through yet another gorgeous shop! I never tire of pictures like these, filled with gorgeous junk. Surfing blogs and looking at pictures of vintage treasures is my idea of window shopping!

~ Jennifer

Ugh - do we all have shoppingitis?! I can't contain it lately! Though I can pat myself on the back about one thing, I've really cut back on ebay purchases. Why shop ebay when there are so many incredible blog shops, websites and links?! BUT the neigborhood sales and the county flea markets are in a few weeks... I'm doomed!! Blessings... Polly

you find the most amazing things!
part of me misses living in California,
the resources there are endless!
thanks for sharing!
hugs,
Sandy

I love that white metal garden bench!

Shopping is great fun!! Thanks for all the pretty eyecandy!!
Have a great weekend!

Tracy M.

Oh how I wish I could curl up and live in your photos! Especially the tiaras... oh my heart is a flutter!

Do NOT apologize for the inspirational shopping you've been doing! It's been a joy to share your journey. Besides, when I do this kind of shopping, a friend reminds me it is merely "Research and Development" for my day job. Go - and shop - in peace, dear one!

Ok, I have to go....tooo chic!
I'd much rather have shopped with you then get a cast put on! Hot Pink of course:)

See you Saturday!
KayEllen

never aplogise for too many shop photos they are divine and of great inspiration to many of us...so thank you....I adore the white couch that is my fav besides the chandeliers of course....keep snapping....take care from Mandi in Jersey Channel Islands

Beautiful images. The blues in Joy's shop are so lovely. Is that a floor cloth in her space? It not, the floor sure does blend nicely with all wonderful items.

LOVE the photo with the white fireplace. Thanks for sharing these images...lots of inspiration in them.

LOVE that store!! I haven't been for awhile, guess I am going to have to visit

Amazing! So much beauty in one place. What a great shoppe to browse. Wonderful pictures that put you right there in the middle of it all.

Love the ornate fireplace and the ivory sofa.

It's really a good thing I live far away from all of these fabulous shops you're always telling us about. Would love to know if your friend's booth is the one with the swan dish on the cupboard shelf in the middle of photo #8. Swan was my maiden name and my mother and I collect swan dishes. Would you mind emailing me and letting me know how to get in touch with your friend if this is her booth? Love her petite flags, too. Thanks as always for the eye candy!

I'm drooling on my laptop!

Hi Heather! You have made me really glad that I don't live someplace cool....I would be broke for sure.....I loved all the pictures, especially the ones with the Tiaras. I am always looking for something sparkling to perch upon my head! xoxo ~ Joy J.

Your blog is fab. I especially love the Mermaid Corner. Your photos are wonderful...sorry we didn't meet in TX.
xoxo

I definitely want to go shopping with you, you know all the great spots. I love rhinestone clocks. I have a few. Great photos today Heather.

Hugs,
LeAnn :)

You certainly manage to find the most beautiful things! Truly an enjoyable shopping experience coming to your blog. Just sit at our computer and let you bring it to us. And you do it so very well!
Brenda

Hi Heather! Wonderful, incredible store and your photos are fab! Sounds like you spent a pretty penny. :-) Suzy (BellaSeven)

Hi Heather...It was so fun to meet up with you and Jane! I had a Wonderful time! Wow! Thank You so much for the Great Pictures! See you at the Barn!

Always Smiles,
Joy~

I'm smitten with those little french flags! And the whole mermaid grotto. Very clever.

I agree with Elizabeth, a trip to this glorious shop would warrent a container to ship every thing back across the country. Hummmmmmmmmmmm there's a thought.

thanks heather oooooolala. great treasures thanks for the hunt and can't wait to see your loots...smiles

Wow, I'm grateful for the post, too, Heather! Yay, another one to add to my long list, thank you!!! I live near the east coast and we're flying out to San Diego in 3 weeks for our first time EVER to California. I even get to go to the flea market at the Rose Bowl, I can't believe it :-)) XOX Diane

Wow, beautiful, I could get lost in there for hours I bet. I really live in the wrong area of the world!! :)

Teresa

Hi Heather, oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh, I have found heaven, I'm staying here....lol I'm coming to loung with you too!, hee, hee and I just love the Mermaid Grotto.

Hugs
Kirstie.

OMG! Thank you for this post - I recently moved to the San Diego area and have been wondering where to shop!

I'm feeling a bit faint.... OH I would want to take everything home with me but that would mean leaving hubby on the airport and dumping the contents of my suitcase! Would it be very weird checking in a sofa?
If only I wasn't afraid of flying so much... Who knows!! I think I would need a container....
Thanks for 'taking' us shopping!

Wow...I just saw about a million things in there I want! I REALLY love that mirror over the dresser! It's probably a good thing (for my wallet) that I'm all the way up in Northern California!

What a fun escape in the middle of
the afternoon! Ditto's to the eye candy comment. Thanks for sharing!!

OH MY GOSH HEATHER!!!! Your shop eye candy gets better with every post...how do you do that...thank you for allowing me to escape to these wonderful shops while I am at work...what a treat! ann :)

I cannot even imagine living near a place like this - I would be broke and destitute -but with lovely items! haha

That lounging couch was DIVINE.

OMG! I am flying to san diego next week, you posted this just in time for me to add it to my trip ! THANK YOU!!!:)
xo, Tiffany
