Treasure Hunting at the Rose Bowl

Rb1 Back by popular demand are photos from my flea market trip today. This is especially for all of you who are still stuck in snow flurries and gloomy weather. Let's go shall we?

There were plenty of colorful textiles today. Beautiful pillows, aprons, bark cloth fabric, tea towels and prom dresses are yours for the taking.

Rb2

Rb4

Rb5

Rb3 And there was row upon row of artfully displayed wares from the vendors all tempting you to let go of your cash.

Rb6

Rb7

Rb10

Rb9

Rb14 For those of you who adore buttons this was the place to be. Tables full of button rainbows!

Rb12

Rb13 Now we can't forget to take a peek at our favorite vintage bottles and chandelier bling. They are hard to pass up. We can always use another chandelier, right girls?

Rb8

Rb11

Rb15_edited1 Well, I hope this post brought a Smile to your face. My pocket book came home a little lighter, I made 3 trips back to my car to unload. I'll have to save my finds for another post if you'd like to see them. For now, I'm off to have some frozen yogurt and watch movies. Thanks for coming along today, it's so much more fun sharing it with you!

Heather,

I have enjoyed your blog. It is beautiful! Sure wish I could shop where you do!

The flea markets by you are heavenly Heather! So much to look at ... I think I'd be there for days :~) Thanks for sharing for all of us Northern birds still trying to shake off Winter!

Oh my, I could go broke going to the flea market. To much temptation. Don't you just love it !!!

I would have to rent a truck if I went there. And if I did buy anything I wouldn't have a place to put it.

Oh, well I live in the Bay Area so it's not as great of a temptation.

Thanks for sharing again.

Boo hoo, I am dusting the snow off of my shoes and crying. I WANNA GO FLEA MARKETING!!!!!!!!

Those are such lovely photo's. I want so many things I've seen in them. Lucky you getting to scour such a treasure trove...

oh my- thankyou so much for showing us these photos- we dont have markets like this here in melbourne australia- wow-

I am always totally amazed at the flea markets over there. Nothing, and I mean nothing, like that here in Sydney. sigh...

My jaw is on the floor heather! I hope I can find as many beautiful things when I do brimfield in may.... this may take the cake though- I hope you brought a big giant suv or truck!:)

Oh, it was the Perfect day for the Flea Market. I was there and must say, I came home with a Treasure Trove. Your photos do it wonderful Justice... Have a wonderful weekend.. Jamie

what beautiful pictures. looks like a wonderful day. i would have gone through a few dollars that day.

You are one lucky duck to live so close! Enjoy your fabulous finds - and I just know they are fabulous!

Oh Heather...How do you control yourself!!??

Looks like so much fun! Wish I lived closer, but I know my husband is glad I don't ;-)

Would love to see your flea market finds. I have a mirror with a gold frame similar to the one on the chaulk board. I have just decided the frame would look so much better painted white.

Oooooh my! Heather you should be illegal!!! We have NOTHING like this where I live in Florida. I just added a post about my flea market adventures this weekend too....but it was nothing like yours. Such BEAUTIFUL and inspiring photos. It may be a good thing that I have no place like this to go to....can't image the damage I'd do to my credit cards if I was left unattended in a place like the Rose Bowl! xoxo ~ Joy at Cupids Charm

You are such a lucky girl to have access to such wonderful treasures right in your own backyard! I wish I lived close!Thank you for sharing.
Hugs,
Melissa

Oh my goodness, I'm drooling all over my keyboard! :) Thanks for taking us along!

Heather,
Thanks for sharing. I was thinking about going yesterday, but I was too busy. Maybe next month.

Oooohhh, I could just cry it's all so pretty! Though I did get to shop a tiny bit over the weekend. I read your article about the mannequin in Romantic Homes! How cool for you!! It's so thrilling when I see my blog friends in the magazines. I'm so proud to show the articles to my husband. Of course, it's not nearly as thrilling to him. Maybe if we put the mannequin in Porsche... =) Blessings... Polly

Heather, Thank you so much for the great colorful pics. Much needed as everything here is gray. What a bright, sunny time. Enjoy the fun in the sun and of course all the treasures you bought. woo-hooo....
Can't wait to see/hear about your finds....

Hi Heather! Your pictures have me even more excited to go to the Rose Bowl in June while we're down. Thanks so much for sharing. Can't wait to see what you picked up!
-Karoline

Oh Heather, thank you for sharing your beautiful pics with us. To think I lived down there for several years and never once went to the Rose Bowl Flea Market. I will be coming down to visit my dad in Temecula next month and am making him take me the the Long Beach Flea Market. I am so excited! Hey, maybe I'll see you there!

I'm hoping to get down there soon...I just can't believe this flea market is only one day a month! It seems it would be impossible to see it all in one day.
I can't wait to go!

Wow! Some amazing booths. Love all of it, especially the painted furniture, textiles and frames...all those frames. I can't wait to see what you bought.

c

Lovely vintage treasures! I'm missing "mainland" flea markets...looking forward to your "take home" finds.

Lucky you! Can't wait to see what you picked up.

Wouldn't it be fun to have a small cottage and a challenge to decorate it out of one day's flea mkt. finds? It looks like you could put together a whole house out of that great flea market. Now that would be a few blog entries, wouldn't it!

Thanks Heather, you made my day. After getting dumped with 50 cms of snow this weekend, this was a wonderful diversion. :)
