Comforts of Home
A day at home. Just what I needed. It's been so incredibly busy for me lately and to be able to stay home and putter around the house doing normal chores is the perfect cure for the hectic pace I've been keeping. There were laundries of fresh towels and sheets to be tended to.
And yesterdays orders all packed up and ready for the mailman. Followed by a sushi lunch on the patio with a couple new magazines to browse through.
Next was watering the garden, hosing down the patio furniture, cleaning cobwebs and getting ready for the Easter celebration at our house on Sunday. Sounds like work but believe me, it was very relaxing. I took my time and puttered around all day. My sister called me during the day to make sure I wasn't working and that I was actually taking a day off. I assured her that indeed, it was a day of rest. Isn't it wonderful how comforting a day at home can be?

Hi Heather,
I have been doing the same. I am hosting brunch at my house on Sunday.
Enjoy your time puttering around home.

Heather, I truly don't believe there is a better day...than a lovely one spent at home enjoying the little daily rituals we make for ourselves. Today I am watching the rain and reading about YOU in my new copy of Romatic Country magazine....now how could it get better than this? Pat

My very favorite day is one at home spent in my gardens and with my menagerie of pets. I don't get bored, or lonely, when I have my lovely home and yard. It is a day well spent.

Heather,
Puttering around the house is comforting for me. I love to accomplish small tasks at a leisurely pace...
Beautiful inspiration as usual.

Heather, I couldn't agree more. I love a day at home, I crank up my CD player and sometimes even dance. There is a song that says "dance like no one's watching" and 'sing like no one's listening. It is very freeing. We all need that day to catch up. Sometimes I even stay in my comfies all day!!
Hugs,
LeAnn :)

Hello Heather! What a beautiful day you had! But your "relaxing" day sounded so productive too... perhaps you could come over to my house and "relax" around here for awhile??? :)

I love puttering around the house. I don't have a problem doing that at all, finding little things to play with here & there, doing laundry & relaxing.
Check out my post today! I mentioned your spring door inspiration post from last year for my new Spring door this year. I loved your pic so much that I did something similar. I always enjoy stopping by.

Sometimes you just need a little nesting time at home to refresh. I am glad you took some much needed time for yourself:)

Sounds like a nice day. We did the same thing during the afternoon - cleaned up around the yard in preparation of Easter. It was nice.
Hey I posted my pic of my 80s jewelry and linked back to your jewelry post too! If you get a chance check it out at http://karenerickson.blogspot. com

Puttering about with your chores around the house is something you needed at I'm sure you'll feel refreshed and relieved when you look back tomorrow. Your schedule ahead looks very busy with your adventure to Texas, so I'm happy you are taking care of yourself too.

Heather, I'm so glad you had a day at home to putter. It truly does make a woman feel accomplished when she can walk around her home all day and do the little things that need doing!! I love being home. Don't get me wrong, I love getting out and having fun too, but you do get so much done when you are home....xxoo, Dawn
