Fun with Sweet Girl
Sweet Girl and I have been having some fun with the camera lately. She's very interested in photography and is entertaining the idea of studying it in college (along with becoming a chef and owning a cafe near the ocean). She's a very artistic and creative young lady. We took some shots so she could learn about lighting and editing photos and she made the perfect subject!
There were so many favorites, I loved all the jumping shots. I think her hair looks so cool in them and I like the way her jewelry is scattered from the motion.
I've heard that teens are a tough subject group to photograph, perhaps this one was made easy since she's my teen and I know her personality so well. I love having a shared interest in photography with her. Not only will it capture so many special moments but I can't wait to see how she blossoms with her craft.
I'm still busy working on photographing and updating the website. Also, there are plans already in the works to redo the site with a fresh new look for 2008. I hope to have that finished by February. In the meantime, lots of money was spent at the LA Gift Show and I'm excited to be adding new product categories and gifties. There should be some items available this week including a restocking of the ever popular Copper Nests. Thanks so much for your patience, you gals are the greatest!

She is so beautiful Heather! She will shine no matter what she does~xo

Wow! A blonde version of you! What a lovely girl and her "style" is apparent already. Although with such a pretty Mom and Sean Connery as her Dad, it is no surprise. What fun you must have together.

Heather,
Love the photos of your beautiful daughter. She takes after her lovely mother.
I was especially intrigued when I discovered she wants to study photography in college. My daughter was an art major with an emphasis in photography and a minor in Art History...she loved them both...she worked very hard and is now in Colorado after spending the first year of her married life in Orange County. She worked for a wedding photographer in the O.C. designing his wedding albums...she is now helping a photographer in Co. get her business up and running (she has great organizational skills...so along with her great eye for detail and the unusual she is a great asset to have around). She also does free-lance work and is thinking of starting her own web page soon and selling some of her wonderful photos...you can go to her blog...it is in my favorites under The Wonderful World of Jackie...I am a bit biased...but I love her photography! Very clean...fresh...and so clever!
On another interesting note...my son is a chef...he graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park New York. He loves, loves, loves what he does. He is a sous chef now at a five star restaurant her in Texas that is a lodge...Rough Creek Lodge in a very small quaint town in Glen Rose, Tx. You can go to their website online...I believe it is www.roughcreek.com It is an amazing place and the food is spectacular. In fact the executive chef is Gerard Thompson...he hails from California and is quiet the talent. He and my son make a great team. If your daughter is interested in the culinary world...I would highly recommend the CIA...in Hyde Park...it is the BEST in the U.S. and we are so happy our son was able to get in.
Wish her the best of luck in her dreams!
Blessings....

Heather this post made me smile. :) It brought me back, oh about 12 years ago when we took pictures of Josh and Sweet Girl in the San Francisco Bay. Remember that? She is still as beautiful as she was when she was a little girl. I miss you both!
Blessings, Kimberly

She is stunning - like her mom. I am really close to my girls and it is fun to spend time with them. I wish her the best.

She's gorgeous! I have to know, does her hair stay like that all day? I have naturally curly hair, but if I cut it like hers, it would just fall in my eyes. The photos turned out great and I like how natural she looks.

I love these photos of your daughter, she is so beautiful. My son wants to be a chef too, and have his own place, and have a show on the Food Network. You never know. Can't wait to see what's new for the shop!
