I had to go to LA today to pick up some things for the website and decided to take Sweet Girl with me so we could have a little fun before summer disappears! First stop, Sprinkles!
For a gal who loves the little details....the packaging was amazing! Just look at those wooden forks? And that little wax paper parcel with spoon? Filled with a Frosting Shot. You know I adore butter cream!
Chosen flavors were, clockwise from the top: Mocha, Coconut, Vanilla, Lemon, Cherry and Red Velvet. Delish!
Next was a ride down Rodeo Drive to look at all the amazing stores and impeccably dressed shoppers.
Sweet Girl wanted to stop by this Famous Place. She missed seeing any celebrities, but noticed lots of moms and teenage daughters spending $98 for a t-shirt. Crazy, huh? Or is it just me? She did find a reasonably priced tote bag and a few other back to school things.
Next stop was less than one block away. You know exactly where it is because of all the paparazzi. The place doesn't even need a sign. No celebrities here either, but she counted almost 30 photographers, just standing around waiting.
And here's a shot of their lovely patio full of almost famous people. The line to get in was very, very long.
The owner of The Ivy also has an amazing shop next door called Indigo Seas. Sorry, no websites for either of them. Although, I don't think they need any more help promoting their businesses.
They wouldn't let me take any photos inside, but as luck would have it, I got a cell phone call on my way out the door and decided to sit on their $4,380 bench and finish my call. Oops, is that my Mack Daddy camera slipping out of my bag? Oh, no! It accidently turned on and...Snap!
Oh my! Snap again! I feel terrible, just terrible. But now that we're looking at them, see the incredible wooden Eiffel Towers? And what about the wall of gorgeous antique fabric pillows in the first photo? And the vintage paper lanterns strung about?
Hey Sweet Girl, move your head a minute....Oops! Snap again! Hello, gorgeous crystal wall sconce, wish I could bring you home. Too bad I don't have an extra $1890 laying around today...maybe next time. Wait for me, will you?
Now before you think I've taken advantage of my situation, I want you to know that I did purchase some lovely vintage cloth napkins and some French soaps. See? I'm not so bad! Maybe I could get a job standing around with all those other paparazzi.
