Bella Has An Announcement

Bellaopen Bella wanted everyone to see her recovery progress!  Her left eye is looking better everyday and she's so happy to say Hello to you all.

She's also very excited to announce that PresentPast Collection's Grand Opening Celebration will take place this Friday, August 10th at 7:00am Pacific Standard Time!  Hope you all can make it!

Beverly Hills 90210

Bhills1 I had to go to LA today to pick up some things for the website and decided to take Sweet Girl with me so we could have a little fun before summer disappears!  First stop, Sprinkles!

Bhills2 For a gal who loves the little details....the packaging was amazing!  Just look at those wooden forks? And that little wax paper parcel with spoon? Filled with a Frosting Shot. You know I adore butter cream!

Bhills3 Chosen flavors were, clockwise from the top: Mocha, Coconut, Vanilla, Lemon, Cherry and Red Velvet.  Delish!

Next was a ride down Rodeo Drive to look at all the amazing stores and impeccably dressed shoppers.

Bhills4 Sweet Girl wanted to stop by this Famous Place.  She missed seeing any celebrities, but noticed lots of moms and teenage daughters spending $98 for a t-shirt.  Crazy, huh? Or is it just me?  She did find a reasonably priced tote bag and a few other back to school things.

Next stop was less than one block away.  You know exactly where it is because of all the paparazzi.  The place doesn't even need a sign.  No celebrities here either, but she counted almost 30 photographers, just standing around waiting.

Bhills5 And here's a shot of their lovely patio full of almost famous people. The line to get in was very, very long.

The owner of The Ivy also has an amazing shop next door called Indigo Seas. Sorry, no websites for either of them. Although, I don't think they need any more help promoting their businesses.

Bhills6 They wouldn't let me take any photos inside, but as luck would have it, I got a cell phone call on my way out the door and decided to sit on their $4,380 bench and finish my call.  Oops, is that my Mack Daddy camera slipping out of my bag? Oh, no! It accidently turned on and...Snap!

Bhills7 Oh my! Snap again! I feel terrible, just terrible.  But now that we're looking at them, see the incredible wooden Eiffel Towers?  And what about the wall of gorgeous antique fabric pillows in the first photo? And the vintage paper lanterns strung about?

Bhills9 Hey Sweet Girl, move your head a minute....Oops! Snap again! Hello, gorgeous crystal wall sconce, wish I could bring you home. Too bad I don't have an extra $1890 laying around today...maybe next time. Wait for me, will you?

Now before you think I've taken advantage of my situation, I want you to know that I did purchase some lovely vintage cloth napkins and some French soaps.  See? I'm not so bad!  Maybe I could get a job standing around with all those other paparazzi.

The Final Sneak Peek Friday

Whitepedestal_edited1 Yes, you read that right!  This will be the final Sneak Peek because next Friday, PresentPast Collection will be launching! I can't believe it myself.  I can't tell you how excited I am to be celebrating the Grand Opening with you!

These dreamy white cake pedestals will be in the shop.  Ready and waiting to be filled with delicious treats!  I love to use white china when I entertain because it always makes food look so scrumptious and whether it's a new piece or a vintage one, they always look great together. It doesn't matter if you're having a fancy schmancy dinner or a backyard barbecue, all white china fits in perfectly.

Doormolding These salvaged gingerbread molding pieces are part of the Architectural & Garden section of Vintage Finds.  They always add instant charm when hung in a grouping or with other more polished pieces such as china platters or framed artwork.  This section of the website is one I'm looking forward to adding to as frequently as I can!

Well, I'm off to take photos of vintage buttons and rhinestones!  And of course, attend to all those last minute details.  The exact time of the launch will be announced in the next few days!  But keep in mind, I'm a West Coast girl.  So, some of you can sleep in!  Lucky ducks. ; )
