Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. As promised, I took some photos of my Inspiration Board. Please forgive me for the poor lighting, the room faces North and it's hard to get enough natural light. Anyway, like I said before it's very large and hard to get a photo of the entire thing. I did my best in the photo below but I thought it would be more fun to show you lots of closeups! Don't you?
To make the board we used crown moulding (31/2") and mounted it to a piece of plywood with Gorilla glue and some small finishing nails. The cork is from a lumber supply center. Not Home Depot or Lowes. It comes on a giant roll and is sold by the foot. I believe the roll was 5 or 6ft wide. Anyway, I bought 7ft and then cut it to fit inside the frame and applied more Gorilla glue to adhere it to the plywood. We put weights on the cork overnight to ensure that it wouldn't lift or separate. Then we just used a nail gun to mount it to the wall. TaDa! That's it. Hope this helps. I'm not the greatest at writing How To's.
These are old hotel key tags. I probably have a hundred or so. The writing on them has been faded with time, just how I like it!
Can a girl every have enough old Bingo cards? The pale blue ones are my favorite and hard to give away or sell. I know, you understand.
Pieces from my paper collection from France. I heart these very, very much. Oh, and more glitter! ; )
Vintage skeleton keys. I use these in my artwork. I also use a key image as the logo for my business. It's on my cards, labels, etc.
These are just some pretties. The rhinestone buckles are used in my artwork and the photo of the cutlery basket is there for inspiration. I'd like to make one sometime. I love the dark willow basket and the natural linen dividers. Yummy!
Well, I hope you enjoyed your little tour. I think Typepad is going to blow a fuse from all the photos I'm posting today. I will put more up on Flickr. So if you'd like more just click on my Flickr button on the left. They should be up sometime before the end of the day. Right now, I'm off to balance checkbooks, pay bills and do some grocery shopping. Anyone care to join me? We all lead The Glamorous Life!
