Sunday Valentines
This afternoon I spent some time with my 2 girls making Valentine cookies. I have a great recipe that I've perfected over the years. It makes light, delicious cookies that taste sooo much better than any store bought dough or mix. We all had fun making our own designs and of course getting frosting everywhere.
I kept thinking while I was decorating cookies with them that I don't know how many years I have left to do this with them. One will be married next weekend and one will graduate high school in 2 short years. People always tell you how fast time slips by and it's so true. Precious moments in time to be treasured. I hope that you all find some time to capture this week with your loved ones. And perhaps to make something sinfully delicious to enjoy together!

These look wonderful Heather - do you think you could share your recipe this year? purdy please?

Would you possibly be willing to share your recipe? I, too, have tried perfecting the cutout cookie recipe over the years, but haven't had much luck. Yours sound excellent!

Ohhh they look delicious :) I don't have any girls, two boys rather that love to dabble in the kitchen, especially if it involves sweets. I enjoy those memories and traditions more than anything, too. I might require them to come back home for Christmas and Valentine's baking even when they are married and out of the house...LOL
