Breakfast Table

Dsc_0068_edited1111_edited1 My house is in complete chaos because we are replacing all the flooring downstairs. Trying to find something beautiful to look at is somewhat difficult. But this little corner of my home is still undisturbed. At least for today. Tomorrow is another story.

I'm going to start working on some photo albums of my products and some vintage inspiration. Hope to have them up soon. Wish me luck. As most people, my computer and I have a love-hate relationship. Let's hope that we're both feelin' the love.

Late Blooms

Dsc_0009_1 This hydrangea bush has been the most prolific plant in my garden this summer. It's given me loads of blooms. I've plucked and plucked. Given some away. Dried some to save for fall arrangements. It's been a long hot summer and it's seemed as though the only things that do well in the weather are the weeds. But my hydrangea has been the one bright spot of my garden this year. I sure hope it comes back next year looking just as beautiful.

Summer to Fall

Easter_164_edited1_1 Today was the first day of school, closely marking the end of summer. Our final summer holiday is fast approaching. I am anticipating fall, the cool air, apples, pumpkins, probably my favorite time of year. I'm going to be posting my new projects soon, including vintage finds, products for the home, and a website dedicated to the modern vintage life. Stay tuned!

Beginnings

Dscn2614_edited2_2 Late summer afternoon, the promise of fall just around the corner. Sounds like the perfect time to try something new.  I've been thinking about starting this blog for some time now and thought no better time than the present.  I have enjoyed reading so many creative and inspiring blogs and I hope that mine will be the same for others.  I will try to capture what I love most about life in the entries to follow but until then you could read my About Me page to get to know something about my life, work, and passion.  Until next time, kick off your shoes and remember what that fresh cut summer grass feels like before it's all gone!
